A THC123 client is in need for a full-time Compliance Manager. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for the Corporation’s compliance to all cannabis rules and regulations for multiple cannabis operations underneath the umbrella of our client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates with Management to implement all standard operating procedures (SOPs) in relation to state regulations and MRA compliance for both the provisioning centers and production facilities.

Remains abreast of relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations, analyze their impact and make recommendations to operations and management.

Develops collaborative relationships with MRA representatives and regulators. Oversee METRC compliance for all facilities

Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. This includes providing guidance to management on implementing policy and/or process changes to comply with new and/or changes to regulations.

Collaborates with others in operations to develop policies, procedures and communications encouraging employees to report violation of company policies and/or government regulations such as, potential selection of third-party vendor(s).

Leads internal audits to ensure compliance and minimize risks over all existing company facilities and assists in the opening of new cannabis facilities.

Collaborates with Management to identify risks, ensure compliance to OSHA regulations and ensure loss prevention methods comply with privacy and other applicable laws. This includes working with the Compliance Team to implement training programs to ensure compliance.

Oversee the administration, maintenance, and accuracy of all required reports, documentation, and equipment.

Oversees any recall and/or health/public safety issues. This includes reporting to government agencies, developing communication to dispensaries and/or consumers, working with the management team to develop a corrective action plan.

Respond to management inquires and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs and/or risk management.
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Experience in cannabis industry strongly preferred.
Knowledge of State Laws and Regulations in the Cannabis Industry MMFLA/MRTMA

Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Proficiency in using word processing software; spreadsheet software; and e-mail systems. Knowledge of the Internet and client relationship management software is also required. Must have knowledge of accounting, and inventory management.

Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong project management skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality; the ability to work independently in a team environment.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Knowledge of Accela Access through MRA

METRC knowledge preferred
